Whippet The Breed is a very sensitive for arctic cold and wind. There are ofcourse a unic diffrences betveen the dogs - some ones get cold extremely much than others. The unfortunately fact is that the same GOOD coat can´t be right size for a four-months-old puppy and two-year-old adult dog. Ours own dogs have got their own "real" clothes about at the age of seven months. Before that they have used somekind of "wool-sweater", wich is made from the sleeve of old wool-sweater ;). Usually Whippet have got the adult size about the age of nine months, but they will get much more mussels, specially the dogs.

The fact is, that the Whippet is very happy with two or tree different jacket:

1. fleece-coat, wich is nicely warm in cold autumm evenings or after the rain.
2. rain-coat with fleece lining, wich you can allso keep a low minus degrees.
3. winter-coat for high minus degrees..

If you have all these clothes you´re deffenedly going in the right way here in the arctic cirkle with your Whippet.

When yours Whippet can move freely for example in the forest he will be a very active mover. And all ours coats have been planned to works in the way that the clothes will not bother the dog himself at all.

Allso the Whippets ears are extremely thin so they are very sensitive for cold allso, so it´s not recommended to do long walks when there are -20 ºC or more. In all ours winter-clothes there are long collar wich you can cover the ears if you felt so.
